    Good afternoon Gentlemen,

This buckle has the look and markings of similar buckles online. Could this one be real? When looking at the bottom pic of the backside, the top side wall of the buckle has a different/thicker look to it. Is this buckle too fresh/new looking? These are the best pics I can get from the seller.

The sticky in this category was an interesting and informative read.

Your time and energy to evaluate this buckle is greatly appreciated.

    Best,
    Von Ritt

Hello. Good buckle from Sieper. It seems well preserved silver plating.

Guys, is the buckle here zinc or aluminum? The front photo looks aluminum but the back photo looks more zinc. I'm looking at my aluminum examples and still can't really tell from the 2 photos here. I have both M4/38 and M/46 flat back injection molds in aluminum. I have other flat back zinc buckles but not a M4/38 Yuri, do you have a M4/38 flat back in zinc?

In post #8 of this older thread Chad mentions a M4/38 in zinc:

Yes my friend. I think it's the zinc version. Here is my example.First M4/38 Richard Sieper & Söhne, LüdenscheidFirst M4/38 Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid

The prongs/bar on Von Ritt's buckle look like aluminum and on your nice example the prongs/bar are different and look to be steel/zinc...
