A variant I would love to add to my collection. í ½í±
Not easy to find and lovely condition.
Assmann = superb craftmanship!!
Assmann nickel buckles are the best
An attractive HJ buckle in nickle silver by Assmann, however and in my opinion, certainly not the most rare or desirable marking. As a matter of interest, what makes you say "probably the rarest?".
From memory there are less than a dozen variant Assmann marks on their early nickle silver HJ buckles and here are a few examples.

Hello David,
My English is bad and I may misunderstand your message.
The fact that Assmann used various manufacturer marks in the course of its production is / was already clear and understandable to me.
However, I see the variant of the manufacturer's brand presented by me in relation to frequency (in forum presentations and also on the free (dealer) market as "rarer".The manufacturer's brands shown by you can often be seen in presentations and also in purchase offers.
The "A + S" in the box under the two-spike is less likely.
At least that's what I've observed over the past 25 years.

Dear The Kabl,
Your English is perfectly fine.
I suppose that every HJ buckle collector has in their mind, a subjective scale of rarity with regards to these various Assmann markings. Perhaps I read your opening post wrongly, however I thought that you were suggesting that the subject buckle displayed the most rare set of markings. In my opinion they are somewhat uncommon, however not the most rare. Instead, the UE 8 and RZM 17 marked Assmann HJ buckles deserve this accolade (in my opinion of course). It is I think all so very subjective and of course, heavily influenced by a multitude of collector specific factors.
It really matters not, as you have shown a super HJ buckle which displays uncommon Assmann markings.
Regards and best wishes,
David
Here is another variant. Thanks David for the composite photo.
