Dear Gdynia1991,
I personally see no issues with the HJ buckle that you have posted, although perhaps one that is not going to win any beauty contest.
A war time manufactured buckle in "Kriegsmetall", by Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid.
Regards and best wishes,
David
The other one looks like a good Assmann aswell.
Dear Gdynia1991,
We have a high number of expert Forum members who specialise in DJ/HJ buckles, whereas I am simply “the jack of all trades and master of none”.
A super and early nickle silver HJ buckle by Assmann. The obverse is a little worn, however it matters not as the buckle is highly desirable due to the multiple reverse markings. Not a rare buckle, although still one that is eagerly sought after by some collectors.
Regards and best wishes,
David
@ Gdynia1991,
For future reference can you please post any additional items for identification in a new thread.. If you have 5 different buckles from different makers please start a separate thread for each one.. We like to have good reference for each type and make of buckle and many times additional buckles that are posted in a thread get buried and they don't get proper identification or recognition or are overlooked...
Thank you
Smitty
I like both buckles. The Assmann is probably the most common nickel buckle. I helped my buddy a Garry sort through 145 HJ buckles and I was surprised there were 10 of these Assmann. Still a great buckle and you have to love the multiple markings
