I think it's trying to be an Overhoff variant based off the eagle and catch? For me it's fake mostly because there is no detail on the reverse and the lack of a rope border on the outer perimeter circle. In any event the condition is bad which I think it's just fake aging. JMO best regards.

Personally, IMO it looks to have been damaged at some point in time and quite haphazardly repaired. By whom unknown. There are a few that would know better than me including Ben, Zeppelin &

G what do you think of the blank outer perimeter circle without a rope border? Any HJ buckle made like that, I don't recall seeing another. As always glad to hear from you!

Hello. I think this was the original buckle with a terrible repair, someone with a polished rope.
The remains of the rope still visible on the photo.
