    Hello,

This is a second HJ belt I've been offered similar wear as the last one I posted. I can't spot a maker on this one, as it is unmarked. Interesting coloring to the reverse...

Looks like an unmarked M4/103 Rudolf Schanes - nice buckle.

Ooops. Sorry Bob! I missed that forum and just used what other posts from searches had used.

Thanks for the replies guys! I found this one interesting as it seems a bit more crude of an eagle than many of the others.

With the help on maker ID's (thank you again!), this looks to be the rarer of the two belts/buckles I posted. I think it's in a little better shape too. Such an interesting design, it may be the better one to go with.... Both are supposed to have their original belts too. They were found in a collection tin in a house in Austria recently, the story goes. The seller was also selling the tin.

I would think this example is more desirable... IMO If you can get a good price... Go for it !! G

Recently on a European dealers site an unmarked Schanes like this was going to 130 Euros. Price a bit high but an early buckle not often seen for sale.
