HJ Sleeve Diamond - Help identify

First time posting within this forum and would like some expert opinions on a recent acquisition I received along with some other items. This is an HJ sleeve diamond, constructed of a wool like material but in black and white.

Any help as to what is was used for towards an association, rarity (if original) and todays relative worth would be greatly appreciated.

It was designed for use by members of the Waffen SS to denote former members of the HJ.

Sorry no idea on value. They are not rare.
