I have a feeling that its a fantasy item too, and its an SS pin none the less it looks pretty good
Thanks
Danny
I was thinking it was HJ , since it has a single SIG RUNE on it.
Brian
Yeah, thats what I thought when I first seen it too, but in the second picture the SS stamp gives it away that this is most likely an item out of the 4th Reich
Thanks
Danny
Yes, I was thinking 4th Reich also, but its a cool little pin, and i really like it.
Plus, its really well made.
Brian
I really actually like it too, and it does appear to be very well made from the pictures, it just makes me wonder who actually put this piece together, you think whoever it was would have known that HJ and SS is a very odd mix
Thanks for showing it, if anyone else finds one for sale they'll know to avoid it or know exactly what it is
Danny
They had another one for sale, but instead of the SS Death Head, it had a Swastika on it.
This a very well made enameled pin, i might just buy this one also.
Both of these have some serious age to them, as i can tell from genuine, and faked age on an item, as i have been collecting antiques for a very long time.
Brian
Interesting little pins. They are indeed fantasy, but if the price was right, I would buy them. Just interesting.
Never seen either of these two before.
The first one with the skull looks like it is made to have enameling by the
looks of the stippled background, so it has fallen out, been removed,
or was never there at all........
Regards, Steve.
Looks like it never has had any enameling in it, like it was made that way to begin with.
