SS and HJ tinnies: Authentic pieces?

Hi Adam, the SS tinnie is a fantasy item.

The HJ Jugendfest 1936 tinnie is fine.

The metal used in the fantasy piece is being used in a large number of reproductions now. I've seen hundreds of repros made out of that colored metal. There is a seller on many sites today, listing medals made out of that material stating they are original WWII items. The quality is very poor. They must be selling enough of them to keep going though.

It beats me why they think if they put ss runes on an item it will sell. Will they never learn

in tiestes tinnie book there are sa ss tinnies such as this shown, are you saying they never made a tinnie like this or is this one a fake of a period tinnie. i have one i bought 12 yrs or so ago. ill have to get pics..

We're all these SS-SA tinnies BAD, if so I got taken on gunbrockers.com, my luck I guess, should of known better, how can one tell the good from the Bad or just no such animal ???? I stopped buying on that site, got stuck with a Zeppilin pin also...Thanks, Joe

Thanks, I will take a close up tomorrow of my piece and post, but I'm sure it looks like that bad one on here, better I know, would not try to sell it as original, there are place for fakes I guess, my main collection years ago were daggers, should of stayed with those. Thanks again, Joe

I took the pictures tonight, will check my email in the AM to see if the SS-=SA I have is original or repro, thanks for your help.....IF they come out...Joe
