Not surprising really. In this low interest rate era some militaria is increasingly being viewed by investors as a safe bet. Obviously desirability and rarity are key factors. Daggers have out performed more mundane militaria since the 1960's in terms of increase in value. German helmets are another as is anything (genuine) SS.
agreed Larry, the Eickhorn is way harder to find, but a lot of collectors dont even bother if its a Hörster or an Eickhornby Larry C
It al depends on how badly you need it, and what we see a lot in Europe is Russian collectors are laundring their money.....
