Kevin,
These HJ Bayos are as rare as hens teeth & therefore heavily faked !!
This one you show is probably been made up out of a standard dress bayo,
Diamond insignia has lost its enamel, cant be sure its genuine with these pix.

Mac is right, we need more pics and in high definition.
Does the diamond wiggle?
We need closeups from the rivets, diamond, and grip to guard and hilt, and all pics from both sides of the grip!!
These are indeed very rare and there are all kinds of theory's about them.
Some treads say there is only 1 maker who made them in a small batch, other threads say: no i has to be an unmarked blade.
my advise: buy them cheap.....very cheap...then the disappointment aint that big when it turns out to be 1 of the 99,9 % fakes that floot around the world....
Ger
The maker mark/logo loos like it may be WKC!....
Kev more pics please.
Regards SK
I don't mean to hijack Kevin's post, but it doesn't look like there's been any activity in a while so I assume he's content with the answers he's received so... I'd like to submit this bayonet for some opinions as well. I stumbled across this thread searching around for some genuine examples and can't find any to compare with. On the surface it looks like a simple fire police dress bayo, but the marking on the blade intrigued me, as did (of course) the HJ emblem on the grip.
Before I give up my quest, and dismiss it as a modified fire police bayonet, I thought I'd post it here for some thoughts. It's pretty rough, but if it's genuine I'm not sure I really care...
Thanks!

It appears to me that the rivets on the reverse have been messed with.

Hi Ralph. I agree, it does appear that way (I thought the same thing), but what about the bayonet as a whole? I don't want to focus too much on the rivets if the rest of the bayonet looks solid.
The whole bayo looks bogus to me
run away fast !
