HJ knife 1938 with interesting grip plates..

Found in a flea market today.
Interesting home made grip plates isn't it ?

Yes, interesting "transitional" HJ knife Gagarin. Always nice to see makers name, RZM code, date and motto. What are those replacement grips made of? Can be difficult to determine when the modification was made, but most likely was post war.

This is how they were used after 1945, replace the grip and voila.......its useable again.
