HJ-knife fake or original.

I bought this knife as a 'relic'. I tried restorate it and put a Hj diamond on it, but it was too big so I had to make place for it.
Just a nice display item. My question: Is it an original piece?

Sadly this is a postwar Scout's knife. Note the lip around the top of the scabbard. The grips are, as you have found, are different too.

Sorry the HJ diamond insignia is not good either.

A late war painted example would have been made from zink. Plus the back has no recess for the pin to be fitted.

Original HJ dagger insignia was fitted via two bent prongs to the reverse.
