My grandfather brought back a number of souvenirs from the Normandy campaign(49th West Riding Division) however I have never been able to find out any information about this knife.
Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your quick reply,spoke to my dad, who told me my grandfather was involved in the surrender and disarmament of the 34th SS Volunteer Division, so he most likely picked it up there.
