Sorry for posting this question in the SA thread. However, I thinl that this knife could be linked to SA.

I was offered an item I have never heard before.

Hi Dimi. I haven't seen this kind reichsparteitag knife before and this one is not good one.
imo all reichsparteitag knives are post war fantasy items.

A horrible post war fake, there is no such thing as a reichsparteitag knife, they are all 70s fantasy items.

Thank you, colleagues. The Link to Youtube is really worth watching.
My thoughts:
- the knife could be 1945 or older. As we can see D.R.P. sign on the scabbard.
- Nürnberg Coat of arms on the blade is not painted as we can see on HJ (fake Reichsparteitag) knifes.
- the most annoying thing - nazi eagle on the other side of the blade.

It really seems that creation of this knife was a flight of fantasy of unknown creator in 70-ies who tool an old knife and made it "unique".

A period knife that someone has recently added etchings on either side of the blade. The blade must have been significantly rusted, then acid cleaned, then etched. Knife now ruined from a collector point of view. i would think originally a standard hunting knife, the acorns probably a recent addition to tart up the package.
