An authentic Anton Wingen jr HJ knife without ricasso. Etchings are period done, but I would like to see a sharp flat close up of the rivets. Seem very shiny (out of focus!) and with cracked grip plate need to consider whether someone has had the grips off to replace the diamond. It is a real one but does it move?
Really sharp photos are needed to make judgements on most TR blades. By the way where is the scabbard?
What is that slot looking gap on the upper part of the ricasso ?

The gap is common with the early pre- wide ricasso knives but usually if it has a leather buffer you don't see it.
Agreed, no problem there.
I once owned a similar 1936 knife from Wingen in totally mint condition.
Wingen often have a gap between the gripplates and the guard, they realy have a gripplate issue on their early productions.
Sometimes they schrink that much that they bulge in the midle and you can see underneath the gripplates the riverts of the diamond
