Yes Very Early and I can feel those grip plates all the way here in Philly. A diamond in the rough
Looks like the blade may have been recently sharpened ?

I see what you mean about the sharpening Larry. It the small things you pick up that always amaze me. Does look recent as you say. I only have pictures to go off. Still deciding if I will purchase or not. Thanks for your thoughts.

IMO its still desirable due to the early logo.
Wait for Anderson , Mac66 or Stingray Ivan.

    Hi Allan -

Here is my Eickhorn HJ with the very early logo. Link to my example, and a link with Eickhorn logos and dates. Looks like you found a cool early HJ, don't see them often.

I would think 1933/34 based on the logo type. No "CE" under squirrel and that would fit given the early knife type. I would have expected a brown leather hanger though with this.

Thanks Weller. Great knife you have there. And same reason I want one to go with my growing collection of HJ buckles.

Thanks Anderson. I see Weller's has a black hanger aswell. Maybe swapped? Who would know. Condition of it goes with knife sadly

Nice and probably the earliest HJ Eick from third reich era
Condition is not a best, but again the early maker mark is important.
Scabbard is IMO not original to knife, but not a big deal i would say
