Worn Hj knife scarce maker mark

Hi all,i' Ve found this worn Hj knife,with and old repair on the reverse grip,made by Plumacher&Sohn and a personalized scabbard.
Do you think i should restore the grip or leave as It Is?

Exactly my opinion.

I so often hear that..... it's a rare maker etc. ......
But keep 1 thing in mind: there goes nothing over quality!

Quality sells and maintains and gains its value over time.
Rare maker and bad condition does not gain the above...... your money is stuck and it will be hard to sell

just an advice of a seasoned collector.......
