I do not believe the 'left over parts' story, and I think this is an imported
Boy Scout knife from the 60's or 70's. Both the sheath and the knife
are wrong, IMO, sorry.
I've seen this many times, where the green Boy Scout diamond
logo has been removed to appear more like a period HJ knife.

As you said this is a post war dagger made for the US market. Sheath is made post war you can tell by the lip on it. I find them for around 20-30 US in better shape. Gary

Agreed I have one very similar that I paid 25 bucks for and I still think I got screwed,the missing diamond and the rolled lip are a dead give away
