Imperial German buckle for review

Hello everyone,

I just purchased an Imperial German buckle which I know very little about. Just want to make sure its all good and can anyone give me any information regarding manufacturer or dates. I cant see any maker marks.

Original buckle and probably the most common steel Imperial buckle. Lots of mint unissued examples survived the war. I have told the story before but in the early 70’s a guy had a box of these mint and still wrapped in paper $3 each 2 for $5.

It's stories like this that make me pick up cheap items now when I see them such as No4 bayonets, NVA caps and buckles etc. There comes a time when they won't be cheap anymore.
