Hi Adam, glad to be of help. Yes, I also think you're getting the hang of Imperials. It looks like the ears on the Tombak have been bent back up for some odd reason, Cheers, Richard.

Following David's post on page 12 of this thread, I believe I might have here a early SA buckle with a new roundel on a "cannibalized" Imperial box. What do you guys think? As a beginning collector of both Imperial and NSDAP buckles I thought this might be a nice kind of hybrid pick up.
Best,
Adam
Sure looks like an Imperial era plate to me.
I agree it looks like an Imperial base, Cheers, Richard.
Thanks for the repliess, guys. I went ahead and got the above buckle. An interesting "hybrid" Imperial/NSDAP piece that I'm looking forward to Attached here are images of my latest pick-up, a model 1895 Bavarian...my first and a pretty cheap find. Not quite sure what the whitish grit/build-up is around the prongs and catch but I like the look of this one and will probably just leave it alone.
Best,
Adam
Hi Adam, that's a nice looking buckle. I'm not sure what the white buildup is; but I don't think it detracts from the buckle, cheers, richard.

Hi 45acp, you've got some great buckles there & some very nice early one's with their belts Thanks for showing. I really like the unit marked Saxon ones & here's a younger brother of your 134R from earlier in the thread:-
