I really like these. I have not had the chance to see many in the metal though.
Nice original buckle
I'm glad you like the buckle
Original or not?
Looks like a repro to me, sorry
I already have one not original. photo.I thought, it can the original. I am glad that didn't buy this buckle.
Hi Chaps, I thought I'd post a couple of new Imperial purchases. My first is a M16 steel Telegraphers buckle. See below for the 1895 brass version.

Second up a very rare nickle bodied Saxony buckle. As you can see it's nicely maker marked & also unit marked 13.R.J. for the Royal Saxon 2nd Jager battalion No 13. They were garrisoned in Dresden & during WW1 were part of 24th Division (XII Army) serving on the Western Front.
One question though. Does the R in 13.R.J. stand for Regiment or Reserve?
Cheers,
Richard.
Richard...super buckles, especially the M16 Telegraphers ! Jager units were not upto Regimental strength only Battalion strength, and an "R" in italics is for Reserve...so "13.R.J." is for Reserve Jager Battalion 13.
Prost ! Steve.
