a very heavily used example of the 1895 saxon belt buckle worn by a non mounted man of the 48 Feld Artillerie Regiment
Horse mounted artillery men wore the so called "cavalry" open type belt buckle
I also like saxon buckles because they are very often unit marked, which is not the case of the other countries buckles
