I have not seen a belt like this before. I think that the buckle is okay for Imperial. There is small pouches all the way around the leather, and it is fine and soft. I am not sure of it's purpose...well, other than holding up your drawers...

Looking at the two end straps it is obvious that the belt and buckle do not belong together. The snaps on the compartments of the belt are not German.

SatansCabanaBoy , the other members are correct, not a type of Imperial German belt...however the buckle is a perfectly good Model 1895 Prussian 'Koppel'. No idea what type or nationality the belt is....although I have seen many WW1 German buckles fastened one way or another to a variety of belts, some period, some not.

I never thought about it being a money belt...how about that?

As far as it not fitting together, I thought that there might be a piece missing. I don't collect the Imperial stuff...if I see something that is too much of a deal to pass up....you know, I can't let it slip past.

    Thanks cats
