Imperial pith?

This one has me stumped, i cant find any German Pith like it. Has anyone seen one like this before?

the felt like exterior is very odd, not one I have seen, the liner and mounts look very French but...

The felt is really strange and only having a front and back seem is also strange

Try poking around this site. They also sell a book. I bought a Japanese pith from a member here that is shown somewhere on the site.
