Default Prussian Dunkelblau Officers Schirmmuetze of the Regiment Gardes du Corps

My second Imperial visor of the Max Show.

Prussian Dunkelblau Schirmmuetze for a Prussian Officer of the Regiment Gardes du Corps (Life Guards) and was part of the 1st Guards Cavalry Brigade. The Life Guards were the personal bodyguards of the Kaiser.

Another fantastic feature of this visor is that it has a 7 pointed Crown with "S" in cap. 7 Points signifies that this belonged to nobility. Essentially a Frieherr (aka Baron). With some research we might be able to narrow it down, but I don't have those resources.

Condition is excellent. The white fabric is nice and bright with no moth nips.

**** I do need some help. Can anyone translate what is written inside the cap band? Thanks in advance!

This is listed first on the Kaiser Bunkers list.

    Hi Michael,

A German friend has translated the inscription to read:

    2611 HDN - L Eile (Leile)
    22 1/2 … I (Roman 1)
    Zaty Ltn. (Leutnant)

    Hello,
What a great prussian cap. These imperial Schirmmützen do have something special, they're sober, with a refined silhouette but also they're full of traditions.
Congrats for this find Super Colleague, that's a magnificent example...
    Thanks

    Thanks Andy/Santi/JP!

Was super excited to add this to my small Imperial visor collection. The seller is a true gentleman. I was lucky to make his acquaintance. I spoke to him at length over the course of the show.
