Hi
Just finished off an idea I've been working on for a while.
Finally got the last piece in the puzzle in the shape of a 1867 model infantry cap.
As such I present a .....
....... "snap shot" (photo pun) of the development of the nco cap from start to finish of the second Reich.
1st row: from left to right: Saxon infantry regt (circa 1880); prussian reservists artillery regt (circa 1890); wurtembourg infantry regt (circa 1900); saxon regt 108 (circa 1910)
2nd row: right to left: Prussian artillery (field cap) circa 1908; prussian artillery (service cap dated 1916 to a garde regt); prussian infantry regt (circa 1919 provisional reichswehr); prussian infantry stamped to regt 16 and dated 1924(reichswehr).
