Looks like a prussian pre 1918 Visor. Can't tell about the authenticity, but the Stamping on the Swaetband makes me wonder. "geh. Kmds." stands for "Geheime Kommandosache".
Certainly an odd shape. Or maybe it just the photos.
I would recommend visiting Kaiser Bunkers website. He has a section dedicated to visors and all the different combinations. You should be able to ID the visor
I've moved your thread to the correct section of the forum

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I don't think it's Prussian, I believe it's more likely Bavarian, represented by the Blue/White Colors...Civic Schützen/Turner/Sängerbund is my guess...
sorry this is not a military cap and not pre 1918 either. The celluloid in the lining marks it out as post 1930's cap and the style, shape of the visor makes me think a much later cap for a veteran organisation or maybe even a civic band ?
cheers
Tony
Yes, these are postwar 1950s caps. Not sure what they were made for, but they are on Ebay all the time.
