Michael,
I'm glad that I could help you out with this as it is a wonderful
example of a 1870 Ek2.

While 1870 2nd class crosses are fairly common and not
overly expensive. Original 1st class versions will cost you alot more.
Roughly speaking, they would start at about 6 times what you paid for your
2nd class and only go up from there. 2nd class 1813s are not too difficult to
find but good luck trying to find an original 1813 1st class. Extremely rare and
extremely expensive.
I don't know where all of the cross guys have gone. It's been pretty quite
here lately.

Thanks Greg. I'll have to play it by ear. Awards always find me. Rarely do I find them when I'm looking
But with those price levels, I'll stick to 2nd class examples
Seems that most of what I want now is either hard to find or expensive. But to be expected after all these years of collection, I.e. the cheaper and easier to find items I already have. LoL
