First of all, this is no cockarde, but is suposed to be a helmet plate.
Cockardes are the circular shaped and coloured metal roundel ment to be put on the side of a pickelhaube.

And I say suposed because I can't tell by the quality of these pictures.

It is a Bavarian enlisted man's Wappen (helmet plate) - this is the last pattern plate used. The attaching loops on the back appear to have been removed. Physical size of the plate would indicate if it is infantry or cavalry.
