I brought this item recently from a car boot stall, i took a chance with it having a 1916 date on it and it was only two pounds so i took the gamble, can anyone shed any light on this item and if it is complete and worth keeping hold of, thanks

hi steve thanks for the link, interesting to read about it, mine is not quite in as nice cndition as the one on your link but you have pursuaded me to keep it, i dont usually collect ww1 items, usually i only collect ww2 german items but it seems a nice item, thanks a lot
