    Hello..
    The sword is a Prussian infantry officers sword model M1889.

    I agree.
    It also appears to say "Hptm. Honn. Essen" on the guard.

    And it is a private purchase sword, made after 1910 (based on scabbard), personalized so more desirable (may be able to research owner) and in good condition.
