German trench line in Meuse Argonne

This is a German trench line ,that is being clean up to look like it was during ww1.

This really is a great site. Is this on public or private property? I know alot of these sites are on park land. It is amazing how visible the pock marks are after 90 years. Thanks for showing Chris.

Chris, great site, must get over there some day.....have they rebuilt this area ? it looks like the German army left yesterday!

They have spent the last 5 years rebuilding that area and still working on it.They are using original pictures and maps from that site to rebuild it.

It is on private property but anyone it welcome to come and visit it.It is free to visit but they take donations to help with the rebuilding of the site.

Great pics Chris , some terrible battles took place here , im reading a book on it at the moment , i have a german helmet from this area with some interesting history , i will post it some time soon , cheers mate Raymond
