    Hello everyone,

    I would like to share with you some uniforms patterns from a German tailoring book that I have.

    The book is from 1919 and it came divided into two volumenes, one with text and the other with patterns. Most of the patterns are for civilian clothing, but like many books from that period, it has some patterns for uniforms. It was usual that officers purchased their tunics from private tailors. But common soldiers won't... that's why in those books you usually won't get patterns for soldiers garments, because they get their uniforms directly from the army.

    It is available an older edition of this book from 1899 at the Munich Digital Library, but there you won't see any of the feldgrau uniforms used during the Great War. It is curious to see that some patterns, like the Ulanka or Attila didn't change from the 1899 edition to the 1919 edition.

    The book includes uniforms of the the Swiss and the Austro-Hungarian army as well, but they are still the same as in the 1899 edition...
