Hello friends !

Please, look this cross.

I know there must be a stamp (938 W) on the end of the lower beam. There is no such mark on this exemplaire.

In addition, letters "N" and "T" are poorly printed on some crosses. On this cross, the letters are clearly visible

It is original ?

Hi,
I am by no means an expert on these and have never seen a real one in person.
However I have seen a couple posted on various forums and I have to say that
I would not be comfortable with this example. Besides the differences that you
already pointed out, the spacing of the 3 lines around the outside of the cross
should be equal.

Also- as this was one of Prussia's highest awards, the ribbon ring was never
butted together this crudely. The rings were smooth and with the seams
soldered and nearly invisible.

I found a side veiw similar to the one that you posted above. Notice the difference
in thickness, tapering and overall quality.
