I am pretty sure that is a replica. I recognize the mark as a new one.
The pattern on the foot of the stein was never used on military beer steins.

Under what catagory are steins listed on the guild ?
Field gear, ordenance and optics - Imperial Germany.
Thanks
The stein listed on the Guild is an original porcelain "lithopane" example. Which means that the bottom is thinly molded to create a scene that is visible when held up to the light.
The stein you posted is a stoneware stein and a modern reproduction. As you are aware now both types of steins are heavily reproduced and crooks try to pass them off as originals.
I own a few and have admired them for quite a while.
The best dealer for original beersteins that I have come across is " garykirsnerauctions.com " out of Florida. His reference books are the best on all periods and types of German steins.

I am more hopeful on this one.
The train stein is a fake.
Stein makers NEVER used nudes or any sexually suggestive lithophanes.
The photos on the first stein are to small to make any kind of decision on originality.
I've asked for full res pics.
