A standard Imperial German WW1 Nahkampfmesser or close combat knife that I added to the collection recently. Like a lot of examples, this one has no manufacturer. or inspection stamps. By no means a razor sharp blade now in 2021, it still retains some of the black paint on the scabbard and the leather belt loop which still snaps closed.

This is a new collecting area for me, so thank you to Ralph (rbminis) for having a look and giving his opinion and thumbs up.

A nice example. Well used but solid. My favorite condition

Will go well with the rest of your WW1 gear.

    Time for a montage photo

    A nice example Andy.
Congrats on adding this one to your collection, it should fit in rather nicely.
My first was the same style, and not in near as nice condition.

Here´s an "accepted" Armeedolch, manufactured by
    DEUTSCHE MASCHINENFABRIK A.G.
    DUISBURG

You can also see the acceptance stamp, also the marking D.R.G.M.
    (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster).

Thanks for the great information Reibert! You have a very nice collection! I’ll have to check the side of my knife now for any acceptance stamps.

Yes, was thinking of some sort of montage Michael. I just need a backdrop big enough to fit everything in.
