Imperial Table Flag

A little something I picked up with a future display in mind.
It was sold as belonging to the 1st Bavarian Reserve Infantrie Regiment.
If anyone can translate what it says, it would be much appreciated!

There are snaps on the top hangers. There is a little wear in a couple of places on the one side.

Appears to be in regards to singers: 'Sangerrunde'.
But that's all I can figure out.........

There's also a harp, which may represent musicians. That said, I think it looks to be in nice condition if its nearly 100 years old. Very beautiful piece, how will you display it?

I'm thinking more along the lines of a WWI Veterans singing group.
'Vereining' means club or association.........

Sorry, without hangers, it is 27x27 cm.
I am not sure how it will be displayed yet.

A Sängerrunde is another name for a singing group, society. association etc. In the US we call it a Glee Club. Spelled out completely, the words on the device are, "Sängerrunde der Vereinigung ehemaligen Angehörige" Your wall hanging says that this particular singing group is a part of the association of former members of the 1st Bavarian Infantry Regiment. It's a reunion group. In Germany the harp is symbolic of the groups and appears in all the wall hangings. Here is a modern example from a Sängerrunde in Austin Texas. Dwight
