Default Iron cross 2nd class maker mark/version

Hello, I'm new to German medals and acquired what seems to be an iron cross second class 1914 (passes the magnet test, though that's not fully accurate) and unfortunately can't seem to identify the maker mark (it's quite worn) or if this is an early cross or a special one or anything any information would help (or if it's a fake) the ribbon is a bit worse for wear and has been stitched. If anyone knows the maker mark just by the shape (it's quite possible all maker marks have the same shape, I'm not too sure, I found a variety of online sites to help identify maker marks but none came with pictures) then that would be of great help. Or if somehow you can read the letters ( I keep thinking I'm seeing them but it looks different from different angles)

    Welcome to the forum.
It's really hard to tell for sure what it is from the photos.
My best guess is that it is a Friedländer made cross.

See if the mark compares against this one--

Think you're correct there, it definitely looked like two letters from certain angles, an FR/ED or something. Thanks for the help
