Looks a good original 3 piece construction . Its had a hard life even got a cracked iron core. Any Mark's on the jump ring? ,Regards Paul.
Did you check the ribbon ring for a maker's mark?

Not all were ring marked, someone here better versed than me may be able to tell the maker. Still a nice cross imo with lots of character
Can buy it for £55, worth a punt? I collect bayonets and want to start collecting other German artefacts

An original early iron cross. I have some serious doubts about the originality of the ribbon.
I agree with those before me, given the condition and ribbon, I would find a different one.
