Oh dear I need help please.
I have a quick question regarding Imperial EK2 makers if I may. I have seen an EK2 I like however the seller is saying that it is marked on the ring with M-S. I can't find that maker in the list or on a search, am I wrong in thinking that it is probably by S-W for Sy-Wagner.

You are absolutely correct in thinking it is S-W. I can't count the
number of ebay listings I've seen where S-W was written as M-S.

I hope it's ok to use this thread again for another question I have. I'm looking to purchase this Imperial EK2 which the seller is saying has a difficult to decipher makers mark. I have been looking at it and think that I have the maker but would like to check. Is it a KO - Königliches Münzamt Orden Berlin. If it is then I am starting to really understand the identification process and getting better at it. Sorry for the pictures, they are the sellers and I've yet to ask for more detailed ones.

Also, I am sorry if using this thread is incorrect and I will start another one next time if needed.

IMO not possible to definitive identify the maker on these pictures.

Anyway, KO is not Königliches Münzamt Orden Berlin. According to current knowledge, KO is for Klein & Quenzer, Oberstein. No Königliches Münzamt Orden Berlin existed during the WW1. Makers list on the begning of this thread is really not good source, it is out of date and full of errors. The only problem is, that nobody has made a better one - at least on English spoken fora.

Good source in German is here:

Thank you for this valuable information Tomasz. I have checked the link out and I will use both lists in the future to aid in verifying my Imperial EK's.

I always learn something when on the forum and I thank everyone that helps me.
