I was dusting the display cabinets today and decided to bring this one out to photograph. It was my first WW1 camo that I picked up on eBay when I first started collecting a few years back. A bit of a departure from the more often encountered block design, this one has black dividing lines emanating from the centre of the dome and running down the sides to the edges of the skirt. Would have been interesting to see how the painter joined the black lines on the top of the shell, however regular service life has extinguished these details forever. No liner, band , pins or strap, but for a first camo, I was pretty excited at the time!

A very appealing patina to that wonderful camo.
Its nice that it retains most of it.

Thanks Phil. Yes, it’s a bit of a different camo for sure.

    Andy,

What a great helmet! Can I put in an order in on the next one you produce? Ha Ha. Kidding aside, a beauty!
