Hey guys, just sharing my new additions. A feldpost, a letter opener and a table medal. They all came from the same vet's house in Germany.
The table medal is very interesting. It says:'' I gave gold for our defense efforts, took iron for honor.''

Nice And the other side of the table medal reads: "In the time of iron - 1916". These were a resurrection attempt of earlier German efforts to fund wars. People gave gold (often in the form of jewellery of course) to the state and was "rewarded" with iron jewellery in return (and the honour of having done their patriotic duty). In WWI however this measure did not become the success it had been during the Napoleonic Wars. These are called Berlin Iron Jewellery.
