    Hello guy's
Here is a new addition for me, only found yesterday hiding under a table at a gun show.
All I have done is put in a rear rivet that was missing.

Should look good sitting with my S&h60, another random find.

    Cheers
    Corey

Nice to see actual battle damage and not a pick wound on a WWl German helmet.

Yes it does look like a nasty steel splinter has pushed it's way through at the speed of sound, from the inside out. I guess one can only speculate what happened or even if it was on some poor chaps head at the time. Possibly ending it's service use and in a way saving it from being refurbished for later use.
At least its safe to say the liner is original to the helmet having torn through on its way. Terrifying

Excellent original with a gruesome story to tell. Example of the fact that most casualties were suffered by artillery.

    Cheers Paul
