Need help to identify handwriting

Hello,

please help me to identify this german handwriting. It's written by a hornist called Wulle, 8. Komp., 119. Inf. Reg. "Königin Olga" (Würtembberg. Nr. 1) in his personal music book. He was horn player and served in 1894.

the first part says:

"die kleine Noten bedeuten das Echo und müssen daher so schwach wie möglich geblassen werden;…"

Unfortunately, I am not able to completely decipher the second sentence. It looks to me like further instruction what the hornist should do while playing the "starken Noten".
