Hi all. I have been offered this Cross at a very good price, but am clueless about WW1 items. Is this genuine and could someone perhaps tell me if this is a Godet or not. Regards Thomas

looks good to me but the ring holder is missing/broken off so don't pay to much for it as a complete one with ribbon can be bought for £50 or so
I would agree with Nick. It is original, but the broken ring would put me off, unless it was very cheap.
Cheers, Ade.
Since it is broken it would be a nice item for a shadow box display or something to frame and mat below a WWI picture or WWI paper document.
I buy that kind of crosses usually at 35 eur, complete, in good condition. They are usual

Thanks guys for the speedy response. i will only be paying 5 Euro for this. Worth it? Any idea on maker? Regards Thomas
Hi Thomas, even I would buy it at that price! Sorry I cannot help on the maker, not really my area of expertise.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Thomas , unfortunately , because the fixed ring is missing obviously so is the ribbon ring and on a lot of these awards that is where the makers stamped their marks ! But it is original and well worth 5 euro
cheers Al
