I am not able to identify the model but something does not look right with it to me. Additional pics and better description would be required. You could look at completed sales on the if you have the correct model.

Hmmm not what I was expecting to see.Im not sure it’s German.
Could it be Russian? The pistol is located in Finland.
Can you get close up's of the Proof Marks? That may help identify the country of origin.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Hi, Other example i found: This is a 1932 dated Norwegian flare pistol
This is the ww2 model: Signalpistol - M/1909/43
- Brekk
Has nothing to do with German WW1 - i read that the German used a few of them in ww2, but definitely not the one he is selling.
The flare gun is in bad shape, looks like it was sandblasted and i don't like how the '16' is stamped, pressed into little pits.
Then the fact its spray painted, and what's that black crap, looks like some metal filler. i'd stay away feels a scam attempt.

Mate, you need one of these.
Had mine for years but as far as the legal side it depends where you live....
Cheers
It is German, these are known as Druckknopf leuchpistole. The grips may have been replaced as the pistole lanyard loop is missing.
