"overpainted" Demag trench-knife

Article about: Hi, mates ! Want to show you this overpainted, (on handle), Demag trench knife. I assume the reason why was to try to give the knife maybe any more camouflage ? Saw such "painted"

    Hi, mates !

    Want to show you this overpainted, (on handle), Demag trench knife.

    I assume the reason why was to try to give the knife maybe any more camouflage ?
    Saw such "painted" German WWI trench knives before, all in that kind of green.

    Interesting, the leather of the hanger is marked, but I don´t know the meaning ...

    One of the grip plates is marked with 2 and C 2. Compagnie, (2nd Coy).

    I like the style of that blade. Good pickup I dont know what those markings are for either.

    That is a nice knife. Is it painted metalic green? Rich A. in Pa.
