Prussian Drum Hanger??

Croix de Guerre, it is indeed a Prussian Imperial German Army drum hanger a 'Trommelschere', looks to be post 1916 metal type, as pre-early war were usually brass, the drum was securly held to the drummer with a broad strap over the shoulder (when on manouvres), the 'Trommelriemen'. Yours was worn at the front of the belt and drum clipped onto it, it acted as a steady/positioner, according to the drummers preference.The design differed according to the state the regiment was from. They were still in use after the Great war throughout the interwar period and beyond. A pair of drumsticks, 'Trommelstocke' were also carried in a small holster, 'Trommelstocktasch' on the belt. You can see all the items mentioned on the photo below.
