    Much better.
    The maker's mark is an early Carl Eickhorn logo.

    As Ralph says. As for quality, a quality maker but a bit rough in condition.

    If you don't own this sword, I would wait for a better example.
    These M89 officer swords are quite common, and there are usually a number listed on Ebay.
    Some sellers list them for unrealistic prices, but I think you can get a very nice one for $300-400 at most.
    I would not pay over $400 for a standard example.
