Strange MG 08 ? Water can. Helps needed

Hello can someone help me with this piece ? It is very close to MG08 piece, but I never see piece exactly like this....Thanks

I think it is for a post WWII Yugo MG, 1958?. I cannot remember the model number.

I'm sorry but I cannot help on this, I've never seen one like it! Its like the one used on the Mg08 and the Mg08/15, but quite different around the filler cap. Are there no markings on it at all? I thought perhaps Swiss or even Turkish, but a quick search revealed nothing. One possibility is post-WW1 German production, as both the Mg08 and Mg08/15 were still in use during WW2. But that is only a guess and probably wide off the mark. A very interesting find though!
